Hello, I’m so glad you’re here!

Hi flower friends! I’m Chelsea, owner and lead designer at Yarrow & James.

My love affair with floral design began as a teenager in a local flower shop. What started as curiosity quickly grew into a deep passion—one that eventually led me to cultivate a flower farm and become a full-time floral designer.

Where it all began

I began my journey not in the studio, but in the field. What started as a teenage curiosity in a local flower shop eventually led me to the land—cultivating a flower farm with my husband and learning firsthand the rhythm, seasonality, and quiet beauty behind every stem. That foundation continues to shape my work today, grounding each design in intention and respect for mother nature.

Inspired by the landscape around me, my style is organic and romantic, blending modern elegance with timeless charm. I’m drawn to pieces that feel collected rather than styled—often sourcing vintage vases and vessels that carry a sense of history and nostalgia. Every arrangement is designed to feel thoughtful, natural, and deeply personal, rooted in where it all began

When I’m not in the studio creating something beautiful, you’ll find me in the flower fields at our farm, harvesting the season’s finest blooms. From weddings and anniversaries to meaningful gatherings, I pour my heart into every design.
